Pride Writing Workshop

Join us at Flamingos Coffee House — an inclusive, LGBTQ+ friendly space in the heart of Leeds — for a relaxed and creative writing workshop, celebrating the 200 Stories of Railway Pride project.

Enjoy free coffee and cake while you take part in this welcoming session, led by an experienced facilitator. Together, we’ll explore memories and stories about train journeys to Pride events, and what rail travel means to LGBTQ+ people today.

Whether you’ve travelled by train to Pride, had a life-changing moment on the railway, or just want to reflect on what those journeys mean to you, this is your chance to capture your story — no writing experience needed.

Flamingos is just a short walk from Leeds Station, making it the perfect place to pause and reflect on the journeys we take and the connections we make along the way. As an accessible venue with step-free access, everyone is welcome.
